!SCO J first got introduced into the music scene after being involved in a small local radio back in July ‘04. During this time he just helped co-manage the station. It wasn’t until August ’06 that he got the chance to have a mix live, not having a clue what he was doing he took to the decks and mixer and from that moment he was hooked, there was no going back. J was into the Garage vibes, mainly Old Skool until early 2007 when he met local DJ Dyazide. After spending a couple months at the studio, Dyazide started to introduce him to Drum ‘n’ Bass. After months of DJ Dyazide’s influence, J left the Garage Scene and found the whole new world of Drum ‘n’ Bass.
During his first year of A-Levels, J met up with an old school friend who was also into Drum ‘n’ Bass. As hiss 18th birthday was coming up he was asked if he wanted to go to a Drum ‘n’ Bass rave called “Breakin’ Science”. Being one of the most enjoyable nights he had been to, he decided it was time to go back to the next rave... "Best Of British - The Finale". It was here that his mind set had changed, walking through the UK Hardcore room, he heard a song that caught his attention.
Spending most of the night in the Hardcore room, he knew where his DJ career was heading.
Enjoying the Hardcore scene, Jamie met up with another friend... DJ Richie Elbourn. J benefited from the links Richie already had with the hardcore scene with such DJ’s as DJ Styles. He began to start a new journey down the hardcore road. November 2008 saw him his new residency at local bar Que Pasa, here he was asked to play strictly house music, ; a year one and he has progressed from playing funky vocal house, to playing electro and minimal. ; His night at the bar started inspiring others and drawing them into this unique style of music and he is now locally well known for playing in this genre and is constantly searching for new ways to learn and further his DJ career whilst setting himself new goals to achieve.
